The Zombie Villager is a hostile mob character featured in the sandbox video game, Minecraft. First appearing in the game during the Beta 1.9 Prerelease 2 update, they are a variant of the standard Zombie mob.

A Zombie Villager is created when a standard Zombie infects a Villager. They retain the profession and clothing of the Villager they once were, but possess the decaying appearance and behaviors of a Zombie. This includes slow movement, groaning sounds, and aggression towards the player and other Villagers.

Unlike standard Zombies, Zombie Villagers can be cured back into regular Villagers using a Potion of Weakness and a Golden Apple. This mechanic allows players to repopulate villages or acquire Villagers with specific desired professions, adding a strategic element to their gameplay.
